Sarge in a 10-minute
out-of-sight, down-stay at a U.D. trial 1997
Sarge was the
ultimate working dog. He achieved many titles and is a
legendary dog when it comes to the training world in Australia.
He passed away October 17th, 2000 unexpectedly on the operating
table. Tina took 3 years off after achieving his CDX title,
and she had him trained for U.D. Instead of training we
decided to take some time in letting the dogs do what they like
best, Run Free. We took them every day to a large area of land
to chase rabbits, swim, run, play, or do whatever they felt like.
Sarge proved to be the ultimate in Searching that's for sure.
He could easily have gone on to have a million titles, but what do
they mean to the dog? Nothing. He was our ultimate dog, and
will always be in our hearts. How can we forget someone like
him? We can't. His departure was too early as he was
only 7 years old and it seemed that he had an unfinished life.
But at least he was happy...
